Windy yet sunny day in Kaanapali. The south face of Black Rock is really good too, although there are elevated waves in areas & pushing toward the rock. Average humidity levels rarely exceed 70%, making it an ideal location for outdoor activities like hiking or swimming. Winds should stay light to medium in strength. Mostly sunny with a chance of scattered showers this afternoon. Passing clouds may give way to sunshine this morning. Kapalua Bay may appear to have smaller waves but the currents are super strong & bigger waves are making it in at times. Its possible afternoon showers blow down off the mountain but not much rain, if any, is expected. Clouds may make it down & around Haleakala into the Zone this afternoon. Please remember to avoid areas with brown water. Waves could pickup later. Waves continue to be breaking throughout the Zone & currents are strong. Currents & undertow are strong. Flood waters are super strong. Beautiful beach day today! The waves will keep getting bigger & the ocean more dangerous throughout the day. Currents will get stronger in deeper water further out from shore. The water colour and conditions are similar in west and south Maui and you can get "perfect blue water with perfect waves" in both areas. Hazardous driving conditions due to powerful cross winds will pose a serious risk for drivers. Winds may affect Kahekili for a little while this afternoon. Very windy today with gusts over 35 mph blowing out to sea. As the winds pick up choppy waves & currents will increase. But it could very well stay calm & clear all day. Partly sunny with scattered showers. Sunshine expected for most of the day. A Wind Advisory has been issued for Maui so be cautious! Sunny skies & light winds expected.
